Muralha

The fountain located in the middle of Largo do Paço, commissioned by “D. Rodrigo de Moura Teles”, is a set based on a twelve-sided polygonal plinth with three steps. A column holds a hexagonal bowl, with spouts at the vertices and in the shape of castles connected by a wall. It is topped by a three-storey battlemented and staggered tower, where there is a statue of a woman crowned by an armillary sphere under the patriarchal cross, representing the city of Braga.
