Gallaecia

Braga, the Roman city of “Bracara Augusta”, was the capital of a province that roughly, comprised, the “Galicia”, the north of Portugal, “Asturias”, Leon and Castile. The administrative centers of this region were “Bracara Augusta” (Braga),”Luco Augusto” (Lugo) and “Astúrica Augusta” (Astorga). This territory was later incorporated into the Swabian Kingdom.
