Casa da Guarda

In the east wing of this urban complex that formed the “Paço Episcopal Bracarense” there are two buildings. One of them, located next to “Rua do Souto”, was ordered to be built by Archbishop Rodrigo de Moura Teles and had the function of “Casa da Guarda”. On the interior side, built by D. Manuel de Sousa, functioned the Court of Appeal and later the Civil First Instance Court, after having served as an ecclesiastical archive.
